Kevin Durant Zoom KD III Nike iD: Fan-Designed Shoe Makes Debut

The immortal words of Forrest Gump. Apart from admiring his impeccable style with the retro Nike shoes, which are once again popular, I took something else from Tom Hanks' legendary character this week. The "I just felt like running" line is very true, and I finally discovered that after 12 weeks of InTraining.

However, consistent with our own thinking, Nike Zoom Kobe has been nearly impossible to unseat. We believe that Under Armour's basketball shoes are slowly making their way to the back of the few stores that actually carry them, as Nike Dunks Low has approached the category with a full-court press defense and "run-and-gun" style offense--marquee basketball shoe launches and key allocations at prime shopping outlets during fourth quarter of 2010. We don't expect that this intensity will abate in 2011, which could all but obscure consumers' view of Under Armour's court-friendly footwear.

Up until week 12, I hadn't run more than 30 consecutive minutes, perhaps in my life. The training always had us stopping and walking for at least one minute during each of our scheduled outings, but in week 12 we were told to run for 50 minutes straight.
Those two numbers, 5 and 0 squished together to make 50, really scared me. There is no break to look forward to, no intervals to time on your watch. It was just 50 straight minutes and the only thing you can do to get a break is hope for a downhill street where you can breathe a little deeper and catch your breath.
