Well Done David Wright, Joe Haden

We don’t focus on enough positives. No, I don’t mean here at WFNY, but in general. We see problems instead of solutions and look for the dark cloud over everything. Speaking as a life-long Cleveland sports fan, I understand fully the concept of ‘not having much to be happy about’. I get it. But every once in a while we see something that reminds us of what is good about sports, or life itself.
The Nike Free Run 2 has been gaining a lot of momentum as of late, probably more so than any other Nike training shoe out. A testament to this is that it recently got the Nike iD treatment. This time around, it’s used as a way to celebrate five different influential cities. Releasing in quickstrike accounts, the Nike Free Run 2 colorways pictured here are inspired by New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro and London. Check all of them out after the jump, and check-in with your local QS Nike carriers for release availability.
No, David Wright doesn’t play in Cleveland.

But the other day he remembered that he gets paid to play a game for a living. And he took the time during batting practice to play catch with some Braves fans that were there early enough to watch. Good for you David.

I understand that this kind of thing just can’t be expected all the time. I suspect that everywhere the Mets go this season, kids will be lined up in the front row hoping that Wright will play catch with them too. (On the other hand, would it be so tragic if it became a daily ritual at the park?)
